About Me:
I'm Omid, a Registered Physiotherapist and Run Coach with a passion for helping individuals in all stages of rehab - before, during and after an injury occurs. With a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University, I combine my knowledge of physiotherapy principles with fitness, to provide comprehensive and personalized care.
During my studies, I gained practical experience as an athletic therapist for the Men's Rugby and Lacrosse teams, as well as a trainer for the Ontario Player Development League, specializing in soccer-related injuries. This exposure to sports medicine and injury prevention has given me valuable insight into sports-specific training.
As a run coach, I have honed in over the years on understanding the nuances physiotherapy has with running. My main goal when working with runners is to a) prevent injuries before they occur and b) help runners get over injury humps and ready for competition.
Within clinic, I use various physiotherapy techniques to ensure optimal treatment/recovery, some of those techniques include manual therapy, acupuncture/dry needling, cupping and functional exercise prescription.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, travelling, and spending time with my dog, Polar.
